Alhamdulillah after almost four months the masaajid have reopened!
Why is this so important? Because the masjid is a hospital for the heart. The heart had a physical and spiritual element. The masjid is where you go to treat the heart through the congregational prayer, recitation of the Quran in the masjid, listening to the reminders and lessons. Through these the heart becomes pure
Having said this, it saddens me that when I went into our local masjid for the first Salah since it reopened, I was expecting it to be full to the brim with people excited to come back to the house of Allah.
But instead, it was the same as it was before. It seems as though people didn’t really realise the true virtue and blessing of the masaajid, even after being deprived of it for so long!
So because of this, I thought it is important for us to realise the virtues and greatness of having a relationship with the masjid, especially the congregational prayer.
Because when you know the rewards of something, it will motivate you to really engage with it
I want to start with sharing small example with you. The Prophet sws said that a man who goes out to pray in the masjid, his prayer is MORE than 20 times greater than his prayer at home. Also with every step he takes towards the masjid, he is being raised in ranks and his sins are being removed. And once he arrives in the masjid, the angels make Du’a for this person.
This Hadith is enough to show is the greatness and virtue of the masjid, but there is so much more!
Because of this I decided to do a course on the topic called The Hospital For The Hearts: The Masjid
InshaAllah we will also be looking at the rulings regarding the congregational prayer and some other things, and I hope this will motivate you to have a relationship with the house of Allah! For the one whose heart is connected to the masjid will have shade on the day of judgement
